In the story (Natural and manufactured materials) we learn that sweets are made from sugar that we get from plants, and woolen clothes are made from wool that we get from sheep. There are many materials that we obtain directly from nature, such as: rocks, minerals and wood, and then we manufacture them such as furniture, paper, glass and cement. The last pages of the story (Natural and Manufactured Materials) offer a number of practical activities such as making strawberry jam, making an animal out of wool, some games, tips and important information for breeders.
